I currently offer in-person psychotherapy services in Pacific Grove, CA as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) #115228 and Certified Hakomi Therapist. Telemedicine online therapy services are an option for clients non-local to the Monterey area, (within the state of California and internationally).
With awareness comes choice... I warmly welcome you as you are, and hold a safe space to support your intention for growth and healing as your guide, witness, and companion. I enjoy working with clients who want more than traditional “talk” therapy. I offer experiential therapy, so you can go beyond cognitive understanding to having a transformative experience. I have an active style that is more than simply listening. I would describe the way I work as collaborative, curious, and challenging when it needs to be. I identify as a highly sensitive person (HSP) of gifted intelligence, both of which inform my work. My approach is mindfulness-based and grounded in somatic, psychodynamic, and transpersonal theories. I am certified in the Hakomi method of experiential psychotherapy. I also incorporate a number of modalities in my work – including Drama therapy, Gestalt, IFS, AEDP, Polyvagal theory, and the Adult Attachment Repair Model – so I can adapt to your individual needs.
Along with my Master's degree in Integral Counseling Psychology from California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) in San Francisco, I also pull from wisdom traditions including Buddhism and non-dualistic Christianity. I am a Certified Subtle Energy Medicine Practitioner and have been working formally with subtle energy since 2007.
Additionally, I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Principia College in Illinois. My earlier career in web design/development includes management experience in education, non-profit publishing, human resources, and e-commerce. Born and raised in California, I have also lived in the midwest and on the east coast. I love animals, and work with my Shiba Inu as a therapy dog.
