BIO

I am a white, queer, polyamorous person. Though largely perceived and treated as a cis-woman, my understanding of my gender is an ongoing exploration and experience for me, and I currently don’t strongly identify with any gender. My pronouns are they/them/theirs and she/her/hers.

I work individually with adults, and with couples and partners for relationship therapy. I am committed to providing responsible and affirmative therapy to people across the full range of sexual and gender expression. Cultural humility, social justice, and integrity are foundational values of my practice and approach to therapy. I hold myself accountable to these values in my professional and personal life. I am a kink-aware, polyamory and consensual non-monogamy friendly, sex positive therapist.

Areas I often work with in my practice include:

  • Healing from trauma
  • Sexuality and sexual empowerment
  • Relationship therapy including couples, polyamory, and other non-monogamous or open relationships
  • Improving communication
  • Intimacy and trust
  • Understanding and interrupting harmful patterns
  • Navigating life’s major transitions and changes
  • Grief and loss
  • Building a healthy relationship with food and body
  • Healing from diet trauma
  • Healing from Interpersonal Violence (Domestic Violence, Sexual Trauma, Abuse)
  • Exploring the connection between spirituality and healing
  • Navigating faith transitions
  • Depression
  • Anxiety and stress
  • Obsessive thinking and compulsive behaviors
  • Perfectionism
  • Self esteem
  • Neurodivergence
  • Exploring self identity

As a therapist, I work in collaboration with you to establish an environment of safety where there is space to encourage healing through courageous self-discovery.

We collaborate to tailor your therapeutic process around your needs. I aim to foster a strong therapeutic relationship with you grounded in safety and trust where your truest self can be present and accepted. My orientation is influenced by a social justice and liberation lens and an intersectional feminist framework. Some clinical terms that describe approaches I use include compassion-focused, humanistic, narrative, person-centered, holistic, mindfulness, attachment-based, and trauma-informed among others as appropriate and supportive to your process to create space for a deep and brave practice of healing. I aim to honor you as the expert in yourself and your experiences throughout your healing journey.

I am passionate about supporting my clients in self discovery and healing with curiosity, courage, and compassion. I aim to support you in stepping into your self trust and power in a way that feels true to you so that you can walk through life experiencing more acceptance, connection, and fulfillment.

Philosophy

From childhood on, our experiences and relationships have an impact on our thoughts, beliefs, self-perception, behaviors, patterns, and relationships with ourselves and others. In therapy, you work towards understanding how your experiences have impacted you, as a part of a process of healing and growth. With my approach, your role is as the expert of your experiences, with me in the role of a safe guide to support your navigation of this process.

This can be a challenging process that can bring feelings of grief and pain to the surface, which is why having a trauma-informed therapist to provide support can be such a helpful tool in one’s healing journey. Throughout this self exploration, increased self-awareness and self-reflection can lead to identifying your needs, learning how to meet them, increasing your self-trust, deepening connection, and experiencing more fulfillment in your life.

I believe in the self-determination of human beings, and in our abilities to grow, change, and heal. I aim to support people in this process by providing an environment of safety and support in which beautiful work can be done.
