Philosophy
I resonate with Humanist-Existential approach to therapy; You are the expert on your problems. As a therapist I am there to witness, guide, point out clues that may have missed, and cheer-lead the progress as therapeutic gains are made. I've spent 10 years as an addiction treatment professional. I am experienced working with a wide variety of personal identities, relationship structures, and family rule-sets.
My graduate school was one that placed heavy emphasis on social justice, and this was a transformative experience for me. I am actively engaged in issues of social justice, LGBTQ equality issues, and overall human compassion and decency.
